Hi, I’m Dr. Matthew Scribbins. Thank you for choosing Maple Grove Pediatric Dentistry! I am excited to learn more about you when we meet, and I’d like to tell you more about myself.
I grew up in Iowa and went to college at Iowa State University. After graduating from Iowa State, I completed dental school at the University of Iowa. I worked as a general dentist for two years after dental school, and during that time I realized most of my patients with dental issues and fears reported bad dental experiences when they were children. At that point, my career goal became to provide children with positive dental experiences by becoming a specialist in pediatric dentistry.
I completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at NYU Langone Health in Scottsdale, Arizona, and was the chief resident of the program. After graduating from residency, I worked for three years in Scottsdale to start my career as a pediatric dentist.
My wife, Gina, and I are both from the Midwest, and we met at a yoga class in Minnesota before moving to Arizona. We decided to move back to Minnesota when we learned our first baby was due, and we love being back by our family and friends. Our daughter, Savanna, was born recently and was officially the first patient at Maple Grove Pediatric Dentistry.
My favorite things to do are spend time with Gina and Savanna, read, golf, listen to Twins baseball on the radio, and throw tennis balls to our Bernedoodle puppy, Ari.
